அடியேன் கதை படிக்கும் ரகம் இல்லை. இருந்தாலும் இங்கே நான் ஒரு கதையைப் பற்றி சொல்லியே ஆகவேண்டும். திரு ஜெயமோகனின் சோற்றுக்கணக்கு என்ற ஒரு கதையை என் நண்பர் ஒருவர் அனுபிட வாசித்து முடித்தேன். பெருமானே. என்ன அது அனுபவம்? மனிதர் உணர்ச்சிகளால் அலைக்கழிக்கப்பட்டு நிலைகுலைந்து போய்விடச் செய்துவிட்டது.
அறம் செய்வதென்றாலோ தவம் செய்வதென்றாலோ என்னென்னவெல்லாமாகவோ கற்பனை செய்து வைத்திருப்போர்களுக்கு கடும் அதிர்ச்சி வைத்தியம் கொடுத்திருப்பார். அன்பின் வழியது உயிர்நிலை என்ற குறள் மொழியின் உண்மைப் பொருளினையும் அற்றார் அழிபசிதீர்த்தல் அஃதொருவன் பெற்றான் பொருள் வைப்புழி என்ற குறட்பாவின் செயன்முறை விளக்கமாகவும் அமைந்தது இந்த வர்ணனை.
இன்னும் மிகுதியான அறங்களும், பெறுவோர் மற்றும் அளிப்போரின் மன ஓட்டங்களும் மனோதத்துவ நுட்பஙகளும் அகக் கண்களுக்குள் காட்சியாகக் காண்பித்து விட்டார். ஏல்லோரும் ஒருமுறையாவது படித்திடவேண்டிய கதை. கற்றிட வேண்டிய பாடம். இதை கல்லூரிகளிலே பாடமாக வைத்தால் நாட்டிலே பட்டினி குறையும் என்பது என் கருத்து. ஆன்லைனில் திரு ஜெயமோகனின் கதைகள் அவர் பெயரிலேயே ஒரு வலைப்பக்கம் இருக்கிறது. இருங்க. இங்கேயே அதன் லிங்க்கை தருகிறேன். சொடுக்கி விட்டு கண்ணால் பாருங்கள். முடிக்கும் முன் மூட முடியாது.

Its a fable by Richard Bach. Not so large but large enough of a story of just another bird, not with any specialized skills like that of an eagle or a hawk. Just a seagul. As we read, we cannot resist looking back what we are doing and relate with our lives. Richard Bach has created an inspiration with the story of a simple bird. How many read this fable of Richard Bach. Hes scripted another fable in his famous book - Illusion - The adventures of a reluctant messiah as first chapter. Both the fables are pieces of Gem. Those who read the fables of Richard back pls tell here in reply. Thanks

This book brings nostalgic memories. I remember appa giving me this book after my board exams. He would always discuss my inference abt a book. I remember replying to him its about having belief in a vision n working hard towards it. I used to wonder wasnt it selfish to be an outcast.
But with age i realise the book is a metaphor implying freedom,
Its about higher purpose in life.
Its abt the beauty of journey.( lows n highs)
Its abt selfdiscovery.
