(This is basically a fusion of the famous European garlic mushrooms with a mix of spicy indian flavors)...






Butter garlic mushrooms

Ingredients

  1. Mushrooms 500 gms
  2. Olive oil 1 tbsp
  3. Unsalted butter 4 tbsps
  4. Chopped onion 1
  5. Thyme 1 tsp(dried)
  6. Parsely 1 tbsp(dried) u can also use mixed herbs
  7. Garlic 5 pods minced
  8. Kashmiri chilly poweder 1 tsp( these ingredients are not part of the original recipe. I'm adding few indian spices to suit the indian taste buds)
  9. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt and pepper to taste



Steps to make it




  • Heat the butter and oil over a medium heat
  • Add the garlic cloves and saute for 3 mins on medium flame
  • Then add the onion and saute till they turn golden brown
  • Now add the chilly powder and garam masala and allow it to cook for 2 mins
  • Add the mushrooms and mix well with the other ingredients
  • Allow it to cook for 5 mins
  • Add salt
  • Add the dried herbs
  • Sprinkle some pepper powder
  • Add fresh parsley if available or u can use corriander leaves either
  • In this recipe white wine is a key ingredient but as we know that it's not easy available in our indian kitchens, I have skipped using it..



This is a very easy peesy dish but it tastes divine.. So definitely try this and let me know if u liked it...
