எனக்கு புத்தகம் படிக்கும் பழக்கம் இல்லை.. ஆகையால் எதனால் நான் என் வாழ்க்கையை படித்தேன், எந்த அனுபவம் எதை கற்றுக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு சென்றது என்ற ஒற்றை ஒற்றை பூக்களை நூலில் கோர்த்து ஒரு சிறு புத்தகத்தை அலங்கரித்து வழங்குகிறேன்.

இப்புத்தகத்தின் பதிவானது நாம் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் நடத்தும் நடத்திக்கொண்டு இருக்கும் சிறு சிறு பிழைகளால் ஏற்படும் விளைவுகளும் அந்த விளைவினுள் மறைந்து இருக்கும் உண்மைகளும் எதை எடுத்து செல்கிறது என்ற கோணத்தில் என் நோக்கத்தில் எழுத கடமைப்பட்டுள்ளேன்..இதை சான்றோர் அனைவருக்கும் சமர்ப்பிக்கின்றேன்.

1. தவறின் பலன் :

நாம் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் அடுத்த நொடி நடக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தவறிக்கும் நாம்தான் காரணம் ஆகிறோம் தவிர வேறு எந்த ஒரு காரணங்களும் காரணங்கள் ஆகாது. காரணங்கள் அடுக்கப்பட்டு தவறினை சரி செய்யவே ஒரு நாடக வாழ்க்கை நடத்திக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம்.

சென்னையில் புயல் 80 கிமீ காற்றுடன் பலத்த மழை, பலத்த சேதம், பல உயிர் இழப்பு, அடுத்தநாள் புயல் ஹரியானாவில் கரை கடந்தது, பெரு மூச்சு, நிம்மதி, சென்னை தப்பி பிழைத்தது.

எவ்வளவு சுயநலம் நமக்குள், அப்போழுது ஹரியானாவின் மக்கள் நிலைமை கூட என்ன‌‌ என்று கூட யோசிப்பதில்லை, இயற்கை பேரிடர் இடம் தப்பி பிழைத்தோமா? அது போதும்.

ஊழல் செய்யும் அரசாணை கண்டு வெறுப்புகள், கருத்துக்கள், தகவல்கள் தேடி தேடி பதிவிறக்கி நான் சொல்வது சரி என்ற வாதம். தன் சமூக கோபத்தில் மிகுந்த அக்கறை, ஆனால் வீட்டின் வரவு செலவு கணக்கில் ஊழல், இது எல்லாம் இயல்பான விஷயம் என்று வார்த்தைகள், இங்கே நாம் மறைத்த 5 ரூபாய்தான் 5000 கோடி ஊழலுக்கு நாம் போடும் அடிவாரம்

பொய் சொல்வாயா? என்று சொல்லி அடித்து வளர்க்கும் தாய்- தந்தைகள்.. அவர் வந்தால் அப்பா இல்லை என்று சொல் என்று பொய் சொல்ல ஊக்குவிக்கிறோம்.. ஆனால் தவறை நாம் வேரிட்டு ஊன்றி வளர்த்து அதை வெட்ட வேண்டும் என்று நினைப்பது நமக்குள் நாமே வெட்டும் வேர்கள்,

ஸ்ரீமதி முதல் புதுச்சேரி ஆர்த்தி வரை நம்முடைய கோபங்கள் ஒரே நாளில் முடிவது ஏன்? நம் வீட்டில் ஒரு ஆர்த்தி இருக்கலாம்.. ஆனால் அன்று அது வேதனை, அடுத்த நாள் IPL ல் சாதனை நடந்தால் வேதனை எல்லாம் வேரறுத்து மறைத்து மறந்து கடந்து செல்கிறோம். இதில் நம் தவறு என்ன என்றால் நம் வீட்டில் அது நடக்காத வரை அது தவறாக சித்தரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. வலுக்கட்டாயமாக நிராகரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஒரே ஒரு செய்தித்தாள், ஒரே ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சி செய்திகள் வாயிலாக நமக்கு உண்மைகள் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் இன்று 1000 ஊடகங்கள் 1000 ஊடகலாவியர்கள் அனைத்தும் உண்மை என்று அச்சடிக்கப்படுகிறது. அந்த கருத்துக்களும் நியாயமாகவே நம்ப வைக்கப்படுகிறது. அதையும் நம்பி நம் தவறான கருத்தை தவறான இடத்தில் பதிவிறக்கி தவறை நிலை நாட்டி கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம்.

அதிபுத்திசாலிகள், புத்திசாலிகள் ஒன்றும் அறியாத முட்டாள்கள், மூடர்கள் எவ்வளவு பிரிவினைகள் வார்த்தைகளில். முட்டாள் என்று கருதும் நபருக்கு தெரியும் விஷயம் கூட அதிபுத்திசாலிகளுக்கு தெரிவதில்லை, அதை கொண்டு சென்று சேர்க்கும் பொழுது தெரியும் என்ற அகங்காரமே முட்டாள் ஆக்குகிறது என்பதைக்கூட யாரும் ஒப்புக் கொள்வதில்லை.. சக மனிதன் மரியாதை அவ்விடத்தில் இருந்து விடைப்பெற்று அல்லவா செல்கிறது

ஒருவரை வெறுப்பதில் இருக்கும் ஆர்வம், அதனுள் விஷத்தை கக்கி கலங்க வைக்கும் மனங்கள், வெறுப்புடன் தூக்கி வீசிய வார்த்தைகள், விதைத்து விட்டு காயத்திற்கு கற்றாழை ஆறுதலா? அல்லது கருவை மரம் போல் ஒதுங்கி இருப்பது ஆறுதலா? எதையுமே நாம்தான் விதைக்கிறோம்.

"நான் முன்னேற அவன்தான் என் எதிரி" என நினைக்கும் மனமே, அவன் முன்னேறவும் நீதான் எதிரி என்று ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மறுப்பது ஏன்?

இது எல்லாம் கலந்ததுதானே இயல்பான வாழ்க்கை என்றால் அதற்கு தடைகள் நாம் சொல்லும்
காரணங்கள்தான் தவிர நாம் என்பதை ஒப்புக் கொள்வதில்லை..

2.தவறின் வினை :

நாம் செய்யும் தவறுகள் நம்முடன் சேர்த்து அடக்கம் செய்யப்படுவதில்லை.அதை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு சேமிப்பு கணக்காக சேர்த்து வைத்து செல்கிறோம்.

அழகான மீன்கள் வாழும் அதே குளத்தில் பாம்புகளும் வாழ்த்தானே செய்கிறது. இரண்டிற்கும் நீந்தும் சக்தி உண்டு, இரண்டிற்கும் இரை தேடும் இயற்கையும் உண்டு. ஆனால் உணவு எது ? விஷம் ஏது என பிரித்து பார்ககும் அறிவியல் அறிவு நமக்கு இருக்குமல்லவா?

நாம் சரி செய்யும் அழகான மீன்களா? அல்லது தவறென விஷம் கக்கும் கொடிய பாம்பின் குணமா? அது நாம்தான் பிரித்து எடுத்து செல்லவேண்டும்..

ஒரு படித்த கதை :

ஒரு குருவிடம் நான்கு மாணவர்கள் பயிற்சி பெற்று வந்தார்கள். ஒரு நாள் அவர்கள் ஏழு நாள் மெளனம் கடைபிடிப்பதென தீர்மானித்தார்கள். முதலிரண்டு நாளும் மௌனமாகவே போயிற்று.

மூன்றாம் நாள் இரவு தூங்கப் போயினர். விளக்குகள் அணைக்கப்படவில்லை. யாராவது விளைக்கை அணையுங்களேன் என்றான் முதலாமவன். அவன் இப்படிச் சொன்னதால் அவனின் மௌனம் கலைந்தது.

நாம் மௌனம் காக்கிறோம் பேசக்கூடாது என்றான் இரண்டாமவன்
அவன் இவ்வாறு சொன்னதால் அவன் மௌனமும் கலைந்தது.

நீ என்ன செய்கிறாய்? நீயும் பேசுகிறாயே?என்றான் மூன்றாமவன். இப்போது இவன் மௌனமும் கலைந்தது.

நான் ஒருத்தன் மட்டுமே இன்னும் பேசவில்லை என்றான் நான்காமவன். அதன் காரணமாய் அவன் மௌனமும் கலைந்தது.

இதிலிருக்கும் நகைச்சுவையை மீறி இருக்கும் தவறினை நாம் பார்க்கவேண்டும்.

விளக்கு எரிவதைக் கண்ட முதலாமவன் தானே எழுந்து சென்று விளக்கை அணைத்திருந்தால், அவன் மட்டுமல்ல மற்ற நால்வரும்
கூட பேசியிருக்க வேண்டிய அவசியம் இல்லை.
நாலாவது வரை யாருமே சென்று விளக்கை அணைக்கவில்லை.

சில நிமிடங்களில் செய்து முடிக்கக் கூடிய சரியானவற்றை செய்யாமல் இருந்ததற்கு பதினைந்து நிமிடங்களுக்கு விளக்கம் தருவது மனித இயல்பு.

ஒரு வேலையைச் செய்து முடிக்கக் காரணமே சொல்

ஆனால் செல்லாமலிருக்கத் தேவையான காரணங்களைச் சிரமப்பட்டுத் தேடி கொண்டிருப்போம். அந்த தேடலின் முடிவுகளும் காரணங்களாகதான் இருக்கும் தவிர நாம் ஆக இருக்க ஏற்றுக் கொள்வதில்லை..

இதை நீதான் செய்திருக்க வேண்டும், உன்னால்தான் என் விரதம் கலைந்தது என‌ ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவர் காரணங்கள் அடுக்கினார்கள் தவிர தவறினை ஒப்புக்கொள்ள இடம் தரவில்லை.

ஒருவர் இங்கு நாம் செய்தது தவறு என ஏற்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தால் அடுத்த முறை அந்த தவறிலிருந்து தன்னையும் காப்பாற்றி கொண்டு மற்றவர்களையும் தவறிகளில் இருந்து காப்பாற்ற முயற்சி செய்திருப்பார். இங்கு விதைத்து விட்டு செல்கிறோம் அறுவடை செய்ய தயாராக இல்லை.

தவறு செய்வதில் பயமில்லை, செய்த தவறில் மாட்டிக் கொள்ளாமல் இருக்க பயப்படுகிறோம்.

It's a story about a famous rich lawyer, Julian. It's a conversation type story between julian and his friend john. Due to his extreme stress and health issues, he sells his flight, costly car, and many things. he goes to himalayas, India, without contacting his friend.

There he meets a guru and learns life lessons. that guru tells a story to him. It's a simple kuti story of a few things.. but it's a life changing story. Then he returns back, meets his friend, and shares the things he learned from his experience. he shares that imaginary story with his friend... in these years, julian becomes a noble wise man...

He explains beautiful things.

fixing correct goals, filling our mind with good thoughts, the importance of time, focusing , living the moment, controlling our mind, and achieving important things with that. visualising the things with our imaginations and getting it.

we are seeing many people who are running behind money more. everyone is saying busy, no time , no rest like these. but they should give time for self , thinking , giving importantance to family persons. Can achieve important things with mind power is the concept.

We should write down our plans. Then only we can finish those tasks. if we want to become thin , just imagine like that..

words and thoughts have more power... we have to spread positive things always

These types of life changing things are beautifully explained in this book...

This book changed me little. Nowadays, i cut my bad habits with my routine good habits. And i came out from my comfort zone. Changed a lot. Pains became my lessons in a positive way. Offcourse i am in the pink of health . Positive thoughts only. peaceful sleeps

பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிகளை கையாளுகிறாள். நண்பனாக பத்திரிக்கைத் துறையில் அச்சக பணிபுரியும அரவிந்தனை சந்திக்கிறாள்.

வெற்றி வாகை சூடி காதலனை காண வரும் பூரணிக்கு, அரவிந்தனின் அதே கள்ளங்கபடமில்லா அன்பு பணிவு முகம் சிரித்த படி மூச்சின்றி அசைவின்றி இருக்கிறது அவளை வரவேற்க ...

படிக்கும் போது அழுகை வந்தது.... பூரணி அவனில்லாத உலகில் அவனின் ஆசைகளை நிறைவேற்றுகிறாள் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளாமல்.

இந்த கதை அதிகம் அழ வைத்த கதைகளில் ஒன்று. சாதாரண காதல் அல்ல. அப்படி ஒரு எதிர்பார்ப்பு அற்ற நேசம். அப்படி ஒருவன், அமைதியான அதிர்ந்த பேசாத அந்த அன்பு முகம் மரண தருவாயில் சிரிக்க கண்ட முகம் நான் கற்பனை செய்யும் முகம் அது....

எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் வாழ்வை வாழ முடியும் என உணர்த்திய கதை.

I used to be a seasoned reader when young but now am a leisurely reader at best. I generally dont read self help books, mostly nonfiction, text books and few biographies. The book am going to talk about is called "The Last Lecture". May be many have read it already, but when I picked it up, I thought it is plain biography of a professor at CMU talking about human-computer interaction and virtual reality. Infact that is why I picked it up, if I had known it is nothing about computer science and more a self-help kinda book, I wouldnt even have started reading it. And may be it doesnt move you as much as it moved me.

Randy Paush was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and there is a tradition in many US universities, where a professor when retriring from active classes, he would give one last lecture to all his students. Anyone can enroll to this lecture. The premise for the professor is imagine you are going to die tommorrow, what would you want to pass on to your students? what parts of your career or learnings you want to highlight? Randy's Last lecture which became a hit as a video and as a book, mainly because of one thing. He didnt have to imagine the premise, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and he knew he was going to die.

Usually memoirs like this, would be sad, filled with regrets and painful. But Randy is such a remarkable man, the book is filled with humour and is hilarious till the very end. He talks about his childhood, his dreams and how he LIVED his life. And just that was a great inspiration to me, than anything else in the book. I am awestruck by how a man while facing death, can still be full of enthusiasm, confidence like had everything planned out and talk about living when actually dying. In this book, he doesnt talk about dying, he is celebrating his life!. Unlike other books in similar genre, this felt real, Randy felt real like an ordinary professor you would find in your class. He says "Rest assured; I'm hardly unique. Send your kids to Carnegie Mellon and the other professors here will teach them valuable life lessons long after I'm gone"

I will pick some lines from the book that I liked the most (and remember) and talk about how it moved me.

“I know you're smart. But everyone here is smart. Smart isn't enough. The kind of people I want on my research team are those who will help everyone feel happy to be here. ”

I used to think just being smart will get you places and I cannot be further away from truth. Being humble is what really matters, infact the more you learn, you will realize that you dont know anything. People are, in the end, judged only by their kindness, how many lives they have made happier.


“Find the best in everybody. Just keep waiting no matter how long it takes. No one is all evil. Everybody has a good side, just keep waiting, it will come out.”
This hit me on many levels, and I found it true personally. The fact that you are quick to judge a person as pure evil, has nothing to do with that person, but everything to do with you.


“Go out and do for others what somebody did for you.”
This may seem like a simple thing to say, but to me it was so thought provoking. We all meet so many ppl who for no reason, go out of their way to help us. The best way we can thank them is to help out someone and pass the kindness. It is important for people to grow together than grow by climbing on others. Randy also says in his lecture "as you get older, you will see that it is so much more fun to enable other's dreams" and "Focus on other people, not on yourself.""

“Engineering isn't about perfect solutions; it's about doing the best you can with limited resources.”
This is so true for life, every choice we make is a tradeoff. If we wait for a perfect optimal solution, we would never find it. This applies to marriage, kids, career as much as it applies to an engineering problem. Randy looked everything like an engineer, he also says "You've got to get the fundamentals down, because otherwise the fancy stuff is not going to work."

“No matter how bad things are, you can always make things worse. At the same time, it is often within your power to make them better”
This is so true, there is nothing rock bottom. Sometimes just by doing nothing, you can make things worse.


Finally the most lovable thing about Randy, is how much he valued his family. Inspite of all his academic and scientific achievements, he talks about his family as his life's best moments. Even though in the very first slides of his lecture, he says "I am not going to talk about my wife and kids, coz I will cry but they are more important than anything else in this life"
Randy is an example how you can have so much time for your family and still accomplish a lot in your career.

“All my adult life I've felt drawn to ask long-married couples how they were able to stay together. All of them said the same thing: "We worked hard at it.”
I dont believe any marriage is easy, irrespective of whether there is abundant love or not. You have to work hard, make compromises, put your spouse's happiness first, etc to be happily married.
He also says "When it comes to men who are romantically interested in you, it’s really simple. Just ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do."

The final twist comes at the very end (which made me cry), is where he says
"This lecture is not for you, it is for my kids Dylan, Logan, Chloe"
His sons were all too young to actually know their father, and the only time (and every single time) you see him welling up is when he talks about his kids. The whole point of this book was for them to know about their father, the way he lived, his life lessons to them.

He didnt have to imagine the premise, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and he know he is going to die.

Usually memoirs like this, would be sad, filled with regrets and painful. But Randy is such a remarkable man, the book is filled with humour and is hilarious till the very end. He talks about his childhood, his dreams and how he LIVED his life. And just that was a great inspiration to me, than anything else in the book. I am awestruck by how a man while facing death, can still be full of enthusiasm, confidence like had everything planned out and talk about living when actually dying. In this book, he doesnt talk about dying, he is celebrating his life!. Unlike other books in similar genre, this felt real, Randy felt real like an ordinary professor you would find in your class. He says "Rest assured; I'm hardly unique. Send your kids to Carnegie Mellon and the other professors here will teach them valuable life lessons long after I'm gone"

I will pick some lines from the book that I liked the most (and remember) and talk about how it moved me.

“I know you're smart. But everyone here is smart. Smart isn't enough. The kind of people I want on my research team are those who will help everyone feel happy to be here. ”

I used to think just being smart will get you places and I cannot be further away from truth. Being humble is what really matters, infact the more you learn, you will realize that you dont know anything. People are, in the end, judged only by their kindness, how many lives they have made happier.


“Find the best in everybody. Just keep waiting no matter how long it takes. No one is all evil. Everybody has a good side, just keep waiting, it will come out.”
This hit me on many levels, and I found it true personally. The fact that you are quick to judge a person as pure evil, has nothing to do with that person, but everything to do with you.


“Go out and do for others what somebody did for you.”
This may seem like a simple thing to say, but to me it was so thought provoking. We all meet so many ppl who for no reason, go out of their way to help us. The best way we can thank them is to help out someone and pass the kindness. It is important for people to grow together than grow by climbing on others. Randy also says in his lecture "as you get older, you will see that it is so much more fun to enable other's dreams" and "Focus on other people, not on yourself.""

“Engineering isn't about perfect solutions; it's about doing the best you can with limited resources.”
This is so true for life, every choice we make is a tradeoff. If we wait for a perfect optimal solution, we would never find it. This applies to marriage, kids, career as much as it applies to an engineering problem. Randy looked everything like an engineer, he also says "You've got to get the fundamentals down, because otherwise the fancy stuff is not going to work."

“No matter how bad things are, you can always make things worse. At the same time, it is often within your power to make them better”
This is so true, there is nothing rock bottom. Sometimes just by doing nothing, you can make things worse.


Finally the most lovable thing about Randy, is how much he valued his family. Inspite of all his academic and scientific achievements, he talks about his family as his life's best moments. Even though in the very first slides of his lecture, he says "I am not going to talk about my wife and kids, coz I will cry but they are more important than anything else in this life"
Randy is an example how you can have so much time for your family and still accomplish a lot in your career.

“All my adult life I've felt drawn to ask long-married couples how they were able to stay together. All of them said the same thing: "We worked hard at it.”
I dont believe any marriage is easy, irrespective of whether there is abundant love or not. You have to work hard, make compromises, put your spouse's happiness first, etc to be happily married.
He also says "When it comes to men who are romantically interested in you, it’s really simple. Just ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do."

The final twist comes at the very end (which made me cry), is where he says
"This lecture is not for you, it is for my kids Dylan, Logan, Chloe"
His sons were all too young to actually know their father, and the only time (and every single time) you seem him welling up is when he talks about his kids. The whole point of this book was for them to know about their father, the way he lived, his life lessons to them.

As the name implies, battle for survival is to fight for the cause, to survive till the end. But sadly even before the battle started looks like no one could survive. For all those questions which are unanswered, here is my explanation
1. Why Don posted something which is not relevant?
After I posted this task, he told me in pvt that he has never read a book and so he couldn't do the task. I said, " it's ok, tell this first and start writing about a movie which has inspired you and shaped you" for which he said even no movie has done that so far. And I told him ok then read a book now and then start writing and he said " ennala poiya oru book oru naala enna maathiduchunu ezhutha mudiyadhu, na vena oru book ezhuthuren".

2. This task is not just reviewing the book. You have to tell what inspired, how you lived through the book and how it changed you after reading the book. Even if you didn't do all these, as a host I'm not going to degrade you for what you have done. Not everyone is multi talented. One may be good in this and one might be in that. And this is not BB, it's Battle for survival. If your post doesn't qualify the criteria it's going to reflect on scores, that's it.
And if you remember even in February stories, even if a person has mis interpreted what was said , I pointed out saying "what I told you to do and what have you done". Never anywhere I have said this is not acceptable or it's rejected

3. We have a pvt group conversation for this game and looks like every one want to showcase their speech talent here and not in pvt which I can't control. Once the damage is done it's done. And I think I've already instructed to use the main thread only to post task and not to have conversation here, even that they didn't want to do

4. Whoever wants to leave the forum, you are not a child and I can't force someone to stay.

5. @Aadhini After all this discussion, even if I start the game the problem isn't going to stop here. They will fight again for the scores. This is my feeling. They will definitely say, one thing or the other. And looks like this is not what I've planned.
Are you coming? If you coming I'll rethink about starting the game
