42-30=12
30-20=10
It is clear that differences between the numbers appreciate by 2 for every term.
So the numbers before 10 in the sequence are 8,6. Meaning subsequent numbers should differ from each other by 8 then its predecessor should differ by 6.
So
20-8=12 for 4
12-6=6 for 3
Therefore answer is 6.
Sorry i presumed the question was for 4 so i typed the answer as 12.
But for 3 the answer is 6.
