Rumour has it that Tata was not interested in buying Air India before, as it was literally snatched from them by the govt. Also Tata wanted a merger with a foreign airlines in the 90s but govt guidelines didnt allow. After relaxation thaan, singapore airlines kooda merger happened.

True. Tourism focus panndra all small countries have better domestic and national Airliners. But probably our Civil Aviation is getting more money with other international Airlines. Now that Indian Airlines and Air India are again with tata it's all up to them. Only time will say.

Even if the Government tries. Our people will make it worse for maintenance. Unless and until there are strict rules. More congestion = more uncomfortable for visitors.
